Subscribe in Calendar on Mac

On a Mac, the subscription link opens Calendar and fills in the calendar address for you. Saving it to iCloud also makes it available on your other Apple devices.

Before you start

  • Open sports-calendar.com in a browser on your Mac.
  • Make sure the Calendar app is set up with the account where you want the schedule stored.

Follow these steps

Step 1

Open the schedule you want

Choose the competition, season, or team you want to follow, then click Add to Calendar.

Step 2

Allow the browser to open Calendar

Confirm the browser prompt. Calendar opens with the sports-calendar.com subscription address already filled in.

Step 3

Start the subscription

Check the web address and click Subscribe. Use the copied HTTPS subscription link if you need to enter the address manually.

Step 4

Choose location and refresh frequency

Give the calendar a clear name, choose a color, and select iCloud as the location if you want it on your other Apple devices. Choose an automatic refresh interval, then click OK.

Step 5

Verify the calendar

Find the new calendar in the sidebar and open a match to check the time, venue, and notes.

Good to know

  • Manual fallback: in Calendar choose File → New Calendar Subscription, then paste the copied subscription address.
  • Choose iCloud instead of On My Mac when you want the subscription to appear on your iPhone or iPad too.
